About Jet Aero Training
King Air training built around real-world operations, led by instructors who actively fly and operate turbine aircraft every day.

Since 2005, Jet Aero Training has focused exclusively on providing practical, operationally relevant King Air training through simulator and in-aircraft programs designed for today’s pilots and operators.

OUR STORY
Built by King Air Pilots
Jet Aero Training was founded in 2005 with a simple goal: provide high-quality King Air training built around real-world flying rather than generic classroom instruction.

From the beginning, the focus has been on operational relevance, personalized instruction, and helping pilots build confidence in the aircraft through practical training environments that reflect day-to-day turbine operations.

Today, Jet Aero Training provides insurance-approved King Air initial training, recurrent training, turbine transition courses, and custom training programs for pilots and operators across the country.
professional pilot training
Training Led by Active Line Pilots
All training is conducted by active line pilots with current operational experience in turbine and King Air aircraft environments. Our instructors include both corporate King Air pilots and Part 121 airline pilots who bring real-world procedures, operational insight, and current industry experience into every training event.

From normal operations to abnormal and emergency scenarios, training is designed to prepare pilots for situations they may actually encounter in the aircraft, not simply to complete a checkride or recurrent requirement.

Focused Training
King Air Specialists
Unlike general flight training organizations, Jet Aero Training focuses exclusively on King Air training and turbine transition operations.

We provide training across the full King Air family, including King Air 90, 200, and 300 series aircraft. Simulator-based programs support all major King Air models, while in-aircraft instruction can be conducted in our Blackhawk-upgraded King Air C90 or the client’s aircraft depending on the training program.

This focused approach allows us to deliver training specifically tailored to the operational environment, systems, procedures, and real-world considerations unique to King Air aircraft.
Training Platforms
Simulator and In-Aircraft Training
Jet Aero Training offers both simulator-based and in-aircraft training programs depending on pilot experience level, operational requirements, and insurance needs.

Our Collins Pro Line 21-equipped King Air simulator allows pilots to train in realistic operational scenarios ranging from standard procedures to complex abnormal and emergency events.

For pilots seeking real-world aircraft experience, we also offer in-aircraft training in our Blackhawk-upgraded King Air C90 or the client’s aircraft. This provides an opportunity to apply procedures, cockpit flows, and operational decision making in the actual flight environment pilots will encounter in day-to-day operations.

A Garmin G1000-equipped King Air simulator is also scheduled to join our training fleet later this year, further expanding simulator training capabilities for modern King Air flight decks.

Operational Support
Integrated Training and Maintenance Support
Jet Aero Training operates alongside Jet Aero Maintenance at Gillespie Field in San Diego, creating a unique environment for King Air owners and operators.

Clients can complete training while simultaneously coordinating aircraft maintenance, inspections, upgrades, or operational support, helping reduce downtime and simplify scheduling logistics.
This integrated approach allows us to support both pilot development and aircraft readiness within a single operational environment.
Training Location
Training Environment
Training is conducted at Gillespie Field in San Diego, California, in a dedicated aviation training environment designed around operational efficiency and real-world relevance.

Pilots flying into training can coordinate aircraft parking directly on our ramp while completing simulator or in-aircraft programs.
Pilot Trust
Why Pilots Continue to Train With Us
Many of our clients return year after year because of the training experience we provide: direct communication, personalized instruction, operational realism, and instructors who actively fly turbine aircraft in real-world environments.

Our goal is simple: provide training that helps pilots operate safely, confidently, and professionally in the aircraft they fly.
